I was in my car today when a friend of mine called me for some advice. Apparently because I have a website called “The Seduction Bible” my friends feel I’m qualified to run their sex lives. The question my friend posed was an interesting one.

He had just entered the wonderful world of online dating. And like everyone after their first two weeks on Match he is finding himself with more dates then he can handle. Last Saturday he pulled a first date sleepover with some girl he met. The girl got clingy immediately after.

So his question to me: “I know this girl is going to want to hangout this weekend. But I’ve two other dates already set up. I wouldn’t mind seeing her, but there just ain’t time. When she asks me to hang out, what should I say? I was thinking about telling her ‘you know how it is, got a couple Match dates. You know, play it cold.”

My response: “If you ever want to see her again do not tell her you’re going on more dates. Just tell her you’re busy and push it off to early next week”

Sometimes there is just no need to be honest or to try to play it cool. Besides the uncertainty she’ll feel when she wonders if you’re really busy or out with other girls is a lot more effective than openly trying to make her jealous.
