Well, now were getting down to the nitty gritty of The Pick-Up Artist show. I was entertained throughout this entire episode so for entertainment value it definitely gets up thumbs up. I do realize now that the show is not an ample substitute to bootcamps,books, or videos for guys looking to learn the material. The guys on the show are being taught a lot more than is being shown on tv. If you watch the VH1 behind the scenes clips are their website you’ll see that.
The opening body language challenge was interesting to watch. It reminded me of some of
the pool parties I have had. Although you wouldn’t catch daddy dead in a speedo. Even in Brazil where they are the norm… i refuse. Fat Joe definately commanded the show at the pool party and deserved to win that challenge. Although I think Joe is far from being a pick-up artist it is nice to see him becoming more and more confident in himself. You can tell he really is proud of himself.
The day game challenge was alright. All the guys succeeded in opening sets. I guess when you’ve got mystery watching you have no choice. Although Pradeep got the number I don’t think he deserved to win. Anybody can get lucky and get a number. I remember when I was out learning this stuff years ago, sometimes I would revert back to my old ways and still get a number. I was always dissapointed in myself though. If you want to learn the method you have to commit to it. Pradeep is not committed to anything. But it is a show and he’s a Drama Queen, which producers love.
It was painful for a moment watching Kosmo sit quitetly. It is just another reminder that you have to engage right away. I repeat engage right away. The longer you wait the harder it gets.
Brady really loves that dental floss opener, huh? He is spewing out lines but just doesn’t seem comfortable enough with himself. He has their interest but needs to learn escalation.
Joe W. reminds me of a bitchy gay guy. His emotions seemed staged. He is a theatre guy so maybe it was an act. His pick-up was alright, but Mystery is right, he seemed to have plateaued.
If I was Mystery, and the producers were forcing me to keep Pradeep, I guess Joe W. is who I would have elminated. If Brady don’t get some physical escalation soon he’ll be gone next. Fat Joe is hanging on by his friendliness. He needs to make some stuff happen. Feeling cool will only get you so far. Until you kiss a girl you’ve got nothing. He needs to kiss a girl before the show ends for me to think he’s got player potential.

Based on what I’ve seen, my money’s on Kosmo. He progresses at the fastest rate. My guess is Pradeep is gonna get eliminated next (he alienates the others way too much and doesn’t use Mystery’s material, although he used all his tips on body language). He’ll be followed by Joe D who’s totally lost the edge he had when he started opening sets on ep. 2 and also stopped using Mystery’s DHV routines. He also looked like a creepy pedophile with his long coat and his attention-getting puppy. So it will be between Brady and Kosmo. Kosmo will improve even more while still using the material. He’s bolder, more fun and has more of an edge than Brady.

I agree, my money’s on Kosmo and I think it will come down to him and Brady.
Did you notice that all these guys started tearing up during the elimination? I couldn’t believe it. Each of these guys have their quirks/self esteem issues (did I see Pradeep slap someone in the preview for next week?).
Mystery is showing these guys the ropes and building their confidence…that’s fantastic. In some ways it’s like looking back at my failures from 10 years ago.
Since the cast of the show are mainly looking for relationships, I will say this. Their frame sucks. Once they land a girl they will either get tooled or blown out of the water. I’m not sure that’s something Mystery could address in a show like this, but he needs to.

One thing that this show brings out is that progress in pickup is not a linear deal. From day-to-day, set-to-set, you will have ups and downs; you just have to be determined that with enough time and work your overall level will rise up.
The producers did a decent job of picking a bunch of guys that are pretty evenly matched, despite their obvious physical/personality differences. On any given challenge, it will usually come down to whoever has the best day, there is no clear frontrunner in my mind….

I agree with Chase that these guys are definately more interested in finding girlfriends than being PUAs. But then again weren’t we all… into we got a taste of the good life. I believe once these score a few girls they’ll get greedy… and the sad truth is that a greedy guy will get more ass than a content guy.
I also agree with Brian that these guys are evenly matched. I don’t think there is a clear winner at this point. I’d love to see Joe D. turn into a babe mongering machine.. just to show to shut up anyone that would say Brady or Kosmo won on their looks… anyway, the show is getting interesting, as I was a little dissapointed at first. I still say it would have been better to start with 3 guys and really train and watch them progress…

The participants seem to have a lot of personal issues and the thing is that as long as you don’t have the inner game working you will never be a pua. My favourite is “Fat Joe” but I don’t think he’ll win unless he drops 20 kg before next episode.
I think Cosmo is going to win this unless Brady doesn’t close a couple of sets from now on. I think Mystery seems to favour Cosmo for some reason even though he didn’t do well at all in this episode in my opinion.
Who thinks there will be another series after this one?

Did anybody else notice that when Pradeep won the field test he was supposed to pick a wingman. Once they sat down for the elimination Mystery says that Pradeep is the only one immune. WTF, did I miss something?
Here’s my problem with the show: 8 weeks to make a MPUA, impossible.

Bangski, you are right.. the changed the rules last minute. I don’t remember the reason they gave, but they went through it.
If you go to the VH1 site you can see more of the training they did off camera. It was probably more like an 8 week bootcamp and we are seeing the highlights.

Pradeep was probably gonna pick Joe W. (who bailed him out 3 weeks ago). Mystery knew that and since Joe W. was Mystery’s pick to go home this week, he did not let Pradeep pick a wingman. Also, Joe W. deserved to go home. Had Pradeep picked him, Mystery would have had to eliminate one of three guys who are getting REALLY good.

Pradeep is gone on Monday and that is when it gets interesting. I am giving the edge to Brady over Kosmo, although I am very disappointed in the show. Kosmo and Brady could get girls with NO pua training . ANY motivational teacher, (non-PUA) could teach these guys to get girls. They just needed confidence. For the show to have any legitimacy with me, Big Joe should win. He is not the classic pretty boy like the other two.

Its true… but remember Mystery taught these guys a lot more than they show on Tv. Confidence isn’t something that is easily taught. I have a few friends that by female standards are considered very good looking.. but they have no game. So they get no ass. Being good looking doesn’t get you automatic ass. I agree it makes things a shit load easier. Brady with game or Kosmo with game will get a lot further than Big Joe with game.
I would love to see Big Joe Kiss close a girl on Monday just to shut all the doubters up. I really would. It would be even better if they showed him bring her back to the mansion and get it on. Then there would be no more of this debate about looks.
yes looks are important… but look at Neil Struass. He is by no means good looking and he is legendary in the community for being one of the greats!

I hung out with Joe D. yesterday in LA. Not only is he a great guy, but he lost 30 pounds and looks really good. He and I opened a beautiful 2-set and got a solid #-close with timebridge. Trust me, this guy has game and has NO problem with girls today.
I also hung out with Kosmo last week. He also has game, but Joe D seemed more together as a man than Kosmo. And Kosmo’s game has also improved greatly since the last episode.
As for looks, they don’t matter AT ALL!!! We were opened by gorgeous girls last night because of our VIBE, not our looks. I have a tall, really good looking friend who doesn’t get laid as often because of his lack of game.

Also, Joe D did confirm that they had a LOT more training off camera. They had classes every other day! That’s like a 1-month-Mystery boot-camp. They have to get good!

I just want to make one quick comment. I am a 25 year old who recently graduated with my bachelors in Nursing. (Yeah!:)) I still enjoy the club scene once in a while, but I have to tell you guys that girls want a real man. Not some Aviator Goth Freak! My brother watches this show every week. When I saw Mystery I just about BARF’D!!! If I saw him in a club with his funky black nail polish and eyeliner I would RUN! Mystery’s friend with the muscles is pretty cute though. Anyway, the fur boa that he gave the poor guy that one the challenge was so GAY! Please boys, just be your self, thats all we want. Oh, and it would’nt hurt to have an IQ over 90. There is a girl for every guy.
