How long should you wait?
Should you call her or send text message?
My rule is that I don’t wait too long to contact her. So If I took phone number Friday night, I will contact her Saturday afternoon, or Sunday during day.
So somewhere in 47 hours.
Text message ( SMS ) or Phone call?
Both are good, but both have bad sides.
In general phone call is better, because you can calibrate your voice to her voice, you have more control over conversation, while text message can be very non-personal.
So phone call is better in technology perspective, but problem with phone call is, will she answer?
Ratio of her answering phone call is between 40% - 60%. Depends by time you call, how strong rapport you had..etc.
Problem with phone calls is, if she doesn’t picks her phone, they rarely return phone calls. Mostly never. While text message, makes them easy to reply. Even she is busy in moment, she will probably send something to you during day. So ratio of text messages is around 70%.
Avoid calling her several times during day.
If she didn’t answered first time, don’t call her 55X more times.
Imagine this : she is taking a shower, after shower she looks at her cell phone, and there is 8 missed calls from you ?!
PSYCHO alarm goes ON.
Solution for this would be :call her once, and if she didn’t answered 3 minutes later send a text message. So there is one Missed call and text message. That’s acceptable.
In text message write : “ I trued to call you.. anyway… your message”
I use combo between phone calls, and text message.
So I will use text message to get her to first meeting (Coffee, whatever), then I will create more intimate thing between us, we would kiss, hold hands,we kinda become a couple. And after that, It will more and more private phone calls.
But again, please understand that this is very tricky cultural thing. India is probably different then Europe, and Europe then Brasil . So please consider taking Cultural element in overall furmula you do whth phone calls & text messages.
Every country is different, find out what works for you. I am giving you roadmap.
Text Game (Brando)
After a sarge and taking girls number, I like to text her first to establish rapport. Depending on how the meeting went, I will wait
anywhere from couple of minutes to next afternoon to text her but I ALWAYS do it soon.

First text will be “OMG <nickname> I miss you so much already…” or “It was lovely to meet you.. Hope you have a good night” something to establish rapport with her for future contact.
I like to set up the first date through text messaging or a brief phone call. For sure though, I am going to be using text messages a lot during first few days of talking with her. Texts are easy and don’t require a lot less effort than phone on her part. The pattern usually goes lot of texting with few phone calls, then less texting and more private phone calls as time goes on.
In the messages themselves, stay playful. Think of original way to open the conversation, like “I just realized something” or “You know, I just heard a song that reminds me of you” SOMETHING other than just asking what she is doing. Don’t send long winded paragraphs, it is better to stay punchy and send a long message in blocks.
Also, in texting make sure to give her a teaser, like “You know something just occured to me………”. Let her reply, this will usually make her very curious. Then when she replies back with somehting like “what, what?!” keep it up. Say “very important”, then let her reply again. Build the tension before you ask some silly question like “Do you like bowling” or “So how is your day going”
Calibrate how long it takes her to reply. If it takes her longer than 10 minutes, I’ll say something like “Awww….are your little fingers broken?” and no matter is she replies or not, wait at least an hour before you try again.

I always text after getting a number close, but if you text to much then u get LJBF’d eventually IMO. I like to text a few times right after the pick up and then call to set up a date. I found that setting up a date is easier via phone than text.

I usually text her once before I call her for the first time, within in 2 days after i met her. Then I call her about a day later have a simple talk and after that i use a text to draw her intrest to go with me to do something like an errand and then play some pool. After I seen her a couple times i switch from using text to calling and back and forth depending on the situation and how I’m feeling her.
If when I call her I get the VM I just leave a simple message like, Hey (always set one up) and make fun of her voicemail message or the automated one and tell her to give me a call. If she don’t call back I usually just don’t continue with the contact until she does, and if she does awhile later I just say “o yea I remember you, Did you miss me yet?”
Fred, I don’t really think theres any advice different from everything else. Except keep ‘em short and sweet. Also if your texting back and forth more than twice and your both available to talk, like your not at work/school, or with somebody else and not busy pick up the phone. Because if your texting when you are trying to have, or it becomes a conversation it seems like you are hiding. Its good to mix it up a litle though.
Yea Seraf I won’t get a number if it wasn’t solid, you gotta make sure ahead of time so its not awaste. If you dont have time to make it solid chances are you’ll see her again if not you should have other options.

I like the way you put it. Short and simple is key. Don’t overdue it on the messages and if you were the last one to respond; don’t send another one unless she reciprocates. Rarely you can send 2 in a row, but you better be on your game.
It’s easy to loose a girl by texting, texts have no emotion behind them and things can EASILY be taken the wrong way. So be careful..

fred: for guys our age I would say that the moment you get a number close go with the funny quick text of something like “did you see that guy to your right,…funny or cocky/funny comment” of course talk about yourself.
Yea our generation loves to text but i have found you can over text so you gotta put time inbetwen your replies and her replies, if we are having a conversation i will try to place 2-4 minutes in between every reply so that the conversation does’nt die but it also seems like i have other things im doing.
Basic rules apply, keep them fun and intresting, dont send another if she does’nt reply because it seems needy, hell the neil strauss and this post phone games both work well honestly you just gotta keep thins in more of a highschool atmosphere.

On the whole texts and emotion thing, if your kidding about something there is no great way to display that so you have to type an lol or a haha or jk which seems so lame, if Im trying to display light hearted teasing I usually got with an lol because its just familiar but be careful not to fall into the lol trap where you start to say “lol” in every message, for instance:
her: your such a dork! = D
you: im the dork, your the one who fell for it lol
(in that situation it works well)
her: blah blah blah
you: lol well what are you doing today?
you really dont want to overdue it but it can help displ;ay that teasing sensation along with smileys.. yea i know alot of it is flirting with the line of
friend and mate and gay nad straight but its one of the few ways ive seen emotion displayed in texts.

yess, the overuse of “lols” is absolutely stupid.
I’m not gwnna lie, i use to do it, i got so use to it in IM, that it became a natural habit. So i only keep it to minimum as well as the smileys.
I mainly text only in the basis of light flirting/teasing, if something happen funny during the day, i remind her by texting her that night..
And i usually stop texting after 3 replies, and make sure shes the last 1 to reply.
I haven’t read Styles phone game yet, but looking forward to it in the rules of the game book.
