Drake’s Tech Tips
Here is another of the incredibly popular column’s by Sebastian Drake, of Master th Vibe. If you like his writing you should hear him in action.
Me Too by Sebastian Drake
NEVER say this again: “me too”
EVER. Kill it from your vocabulary. Banish it to the abyss. Never say “me too” again. Now, repeat after me:
“That’s cool - I like that.”
“Great answer - I like that.”
“Really fucking cool - I dig that.”
“Good taste… right on.”
“Me too” vibes “I’m trying to impress and please you, look, I like what you like! Me too! Like me!”
“I like that” vibes that you’re on the same wavelength and you approve of what she’s saying.
So she says:
“I listen to Eric Clapton”
I say, “I like that, right on - what’s your favorite Clapton song?”
Which is NOT what most guys do. Most guys go, “Oh me too! I love Clapton! I have this album, and that album, and I’m trying to impress you, and…”
So, repeat after me: “I like that.”
Cheers,
Sebastian

You shouldn’t say "I’m tired" or "This place is boring" either because that implies that you are not having fun and that you are not a fun person and that you are a boring person.

i agree that those exact words shouldnt be used, zeo - but you can say almost the same thing and still look like you are fun -
instead of "this is place is boring" you could tell her "you’re boring" then go on to tease that you should have gone out with so-and-so or done something else (maybe something outrageous like sky diving with monica bellucci)
if you dont want to make a joke of it, just make sure you seriously hint that you have someplace better to be.
