A man is a leader. Here is a quote from a post I wrote about being a leader:
“A TRUE LEADER leads without needing any follows. He doesn’t mind if people go in the direction that HE CHOOSES but he DOESN’T NEED them to because he would do it anyways. He knows what he wants in life and doesn’t care if people want to go down that direction. He doesn’t manipulate or control them into going where he wants to go, he simply goes WITHOUT PERMISSION from others. “
Courage comes down to a choice that you make. It’s the same choice that everyone else has. The choice to take full response-ability to do something about your life or sit in the corner sucking your thumb waiting for success to come knocking on your door. The choice to not let fear cripple you or let it destroy everything you desire in life.
The choice to be a man or not. NO ONE is born a man, they make the choice to be one.

I believe in being completely honest. It doesn’t matter to me if I loose something or if I loose the chance to have something. In my mind the only “things” that belong to me are my family and my spirit, and all other things are simply there.

Agreed, especially the simple part. When you lie or bend the truth it makes your life very complicated. With the truth there is far greater freedom and a lot less thinking involved.

I agree with this article Alex,
Honesty is super important.. Especially being honest with yourself. Its easier to fool yourself sometimes than other people. Sometimes we need to really look in the mirror and accept the fact the way they are and not with blinders on.

hey damien, great point - you cant be honest with others if you arent honest with yourself.
when you lie to yourself, you actually BELIEVE the lies you are telling others.
side note:: TACT AND HONESTY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE
do not use honesty as an excuse to be a dick.

Thanks a lot guys. Yeah you have to balance the courage to be honest with consideration. I don’t lie when I am asked something but I don’t walk around all day telling people their business, it wouldn’t help anyone.

If only more people in the world would actually live by these principles. Some people don’t have any regard for what they say. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to not seek others’ approval, but you do have to be wise with your words.
