The logo tee is a constant in men’s casual wear with its simplicity and comfort in knowing you are blending into the background of the sea of advertising. But let’s say you don’t feel like being a billboard for Hurley, Billabong, Ed Hardy or any other brand, what type of shirt should you turn to?

A graphic tee is an excellent way to get away from the logos while upping your style quotient. A tip though when looking for the perfect tee: try to steer away from the ever so trendy splatter graphic that litters the shirts on Melrose in LA. Instead go for a fun and funky top, like this astronaut Tee from Hot Topic. Not into space travel? Then try the entertaining Burn Lion Tee, it too from Hot Topic.

Style Rocket and Pac Sun also have some marvelous fashion tees including some great ones in bold colors including sunny yellow, red and emerald green. Although the logos are still there, particularly with Pac Sun, they have been cunningly placed within the illustration of the tee so as not to be so obvious. I specifically enjoyed many of the Rip Curl shirts.

A major pro about sporting this type of stylish tee shirt is it can work during the day as well as the evening. All you have to do is throw on a blazer with your tee and jeans and you are ready to party for the night. I suggest pairing Style Rocket’s Howe Feel Me blazer with either of the Tees mentioned above.

Graphic tees are so much better than the plain Hollister/AE/A&F tees that everyone ages 14-28 wears. Express has a great selection in addition to these brands.

Aeropostale has some really awesome graphic tees, and they’re usually on sale most of the time. The only thing i hate about Aero, is that Aero is becoming more popular so you see more people wearing it, which kind of takes away the individuality of it.

I’ve seen some really cool graphic designs lately. I don’t know who controls the fashion trends but I like the push towards graphic tees. It’s like art on your tee.

A question for our female fashion guru (time sensitive). Is it effeminate for men to wear suede loafers in a semi-casual/club setting. I ran into a pair I can get a deal on but don’t know if it will send out the wrong signals.

This is the only pic of them I could find.

They are ok, I wouldn’t rock the buckle though. It’s a little to pilgrim for me.

    Hi Chase,
Suede loafers are great and will absolutely NOT look effeminate. In fact, the pair that you showed me in the pic are actually masculine, but a touch outdated and “fuddy duddy.” It’s the the heel and the silver buckle that need to go. The color is great, I particularly have been really into the lighter browns lately. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    id - check out BUCKLE.COM

There is a store near my house and I love what they carry. I haven’t shopped their site but an employee there told me they have everything that’s in the store and then some. They have a lot of graphic t-shirts in the store so I imagine they’d have a good selection online as well. I don’t like telling people where I shop (always been selfish like that :) but this store rocks! Hope you find something you like!

I love graphic tee’s. They are not over the top but are far from boring. Guys can find tee’s pretty easily but for girls it is a bit tougher. I am a personal fan of the Ed Hardy Knits. They are edgey yet classic, not to mention comfortable and sexy! I always go to the site below to buy my knit shirts. Check it out!

Graphic tees are awesome, just be careful, as there is a fine line between cool and tacky.
