Σπίτι » Bobby Ρίο » Είναι χρονική πτώση Lingo επανάληψης;

Οι λέξεις όπως Amogg, Negs, το στόχο, Sarge, PUA, και τους βρόχους μικροϋπολογιστών σας κρατούν πίσω;

Αλλά εκείνες οι λέξεις καταστρέφουν κρυφά την εμπιστοσύνη σας και σας κάνουν να αισθανθείτε όπως μια απάτη;

Is it just me, or do the guys who speak the lingo the most… get laid the least?

Just something to think about?

    yes i agree 100% it is time to let go of all this PUA lingo stuff and start to concentrate on the real things - like just meeting and enjoying women.

    That stuff was cool at first cos it made everyone feel like they were part of something speical or secret, but now i think its just a fuckin joke when some guy starts acting like he knows everything about ‘game’ but doesn’t get results - don’t talk the talk if you can’t walk the walk…

    i agree too… but sometimes it is necessary. I know that it is way overused by a lot of posers.

    Honey and I have talked about this a lot. I think the language of pickup is definitely unattractive and more than a little immature. The language, coupled with purple marketing, is the main reason why chicks are so repelled by PU at first glance.

    With that being said, SOME kind of vocabulary needs to be in place for new guys to learn the technical aspects of game and for experienced guys to trade FR’s. There’s definitely a science behind the art of attraction, and it would be difficult to learn the science end of things without the terminology.

    My suggestion would be that someone should publish an alternative vocabulary that is more mature. I’ve noticed this is already happening with a lot of PUA bloggers, many of them say tease instead of neg, signal instead of IOI.

    Interesting question. If it didn’t need to be modified, then it would have to be dropped. Either way, in some ways we’re like the Star Trek geeks who take it too far by learning how to speak fluent Klingon.

    Interesting point. I think the lingo should be used within certain context. The most important thing to remember is that you’re not trying to become a routine spitting drone. Well at least my ultimate goal is to develop a better level of comfort with women and become the best me that i can be.

    As Lance says, we talked about this a lot, especially when he started getting into pickup. The language is, for me, one of the things that seems to enable guys to distance themselves from interactions rather than truly get into the interactions and be social.

    So while I agree with him that a more mature language is needed (and I thought the Klingon comment was hilarious!) I would also argue that the language needs to be crafted in a way that expresses immersion in the moment and the interaction and is less acronym-y and clinical.

    Perhaps it is the fact that I have a PhD in rhetoric, but I think that the way you describe something matters. As a woman, then, I think that creating a pickup language that is respectful of, and hopefully even celebrates women (and interactions with women) would go a lot further in serving the goals that the pickup community claims to value.

    As far as routines go, I think a lot of guys will hide behind them in order to not seem insecure.

    If you get rid of the lingo, how do you propose to express the concepts?

    Use terms everybody else uses. Check Lance’s comment. However, I do like terms like push-pull and cocky-funny. More descriptive than whatever else is out there in my opinion. Perhaps we should all switch to “Jeff concepts” (See Jeff Murdock in Wikipedia).

    Great question… does this by chance have anything to do with your rebranding?

    My opinion: drop sarge, HB, target, PUA- that shit is stupid and will make you weird. However tactics need names and I think serve an important purpose- if for nothing else so we can communicate quicker. Its the whole PUA identity thing that is counter-productive. I wish I’d picked up the tactics and inner game work without ever being exposed to that stupid book.
