It is funny because yesterday one of our readers suggested creating a mission statement for TSB Magazine. It is something we have been meaning to do for awhile, but just seemed to get around to doing it. After reading the suggestion of the reader… Mike and I vowed to put one together this week.

Ironically, today I get an email from Nightingale Conant (a great publisher of self improvement manuals) offering their new free Mission Statement Builder.

What is a Mission Statement?

A mission statement is only a paragraph long, but it has specific, measurable outcomes and a deadline for accomplishing that outcome.

It is a chance for you to give yourself a clear focus on what you want to achieve, a means to get there, and a specific date for its achievement.

I highly suggest you all take twenty minutes or so to create a mission statement. You won’t believe how much more effective it is when you put your goals down on paper. It’s quick, free, and easy to do. And the benefits are endless…
