You will find that Amazon.com has a variety of James Perse T-Shirts in these colors that embody the Johnny Depp look: worn, shorter hem, slim fit. If you are feeling extra feisty, feel free to tear a few holes in it.
For jeans, you can go holy or just worn in, but they can’t be trendy; no indigo tint, no wild graphics. Think a good pair of Levis, medium blue wash with plain back pockets and some wear lines in the crotch and hip region.
From here it is all about the accessories. While on Amazon.com, pick up a more traditional looking fedora versus the currently popular slimmer brim version. Think neutrals, grays and brown for the color. Also look into a worn in, but simple belt.
Then you must pile on the jewelry, all easily found on Amazon.com or styelrocket.com. You will need a watch, a leather band, some beaded bracelets, a couple of necklaces and a handkerchief or scarf to wrap around one of your crowded wrists. Although it may look like he is tending to a wound, this piece of fabric is a staple for his everyday look. Perhaps it’s for luck, or maybe he’s just prepared, but either way he pulls it off.

Is this how to match his style or the picture? His style is much more than what he wears; it’s his walk, it’s his speech, his general attitude on life, it is him. If you just bought 80 different bracelets, a few rings, and necklaces that matched your new “old” hat and wonder why it’s not working, it’s cause you are mimicking a look. You have to absorb the Depp idea.
I think Jack Sparrow might end up being one of the new images of an Alpha instead of Travolta from Saturday Night Fever. But that’s a different post.

I feel what your saying Kitten…I’m on the fence about his style (at least in that picture). But if you carry yourself well in that style….you are the man. That picture makes him look queer in my opinion…and I don’t mean just gay…but ODD. Probably something to do with the fact that he has to pose with a bunch of people staring at him

Your confidence can change quite easily with how you present yourself, and usually it’s easier to start with how you look.

i do like johnny depp’s style . i think the key to his personal style is that it is a reflection of his inner game/self. part rebel / part creative artist / and a very natural quiet cool. it shows how important it is to dress the part as well as act the part you play. be congruent with who you are. i’m always a little disappointed when i meet someone who dresses hip and cool but after talking to them for a few minutes i discover they love the same mainstream dumb shit everyone else does or vice versa like when you see a surfer guy or a thug in a suit. they’re not fooling anyone and i got $20 bucks that says they have a court appearance.
