There is a new show coming out on HBO and it’s looking pretty good. Now I am a diehard True Blood fan (even more then Entourage) but there is something about British Humor that I have been digging lately. In this series, Chris Lilley plays 3 different characters. Jonah a troubled teen boy who break dances, Mr G. a drama teacher who is flaming (Slap the butcher!) and Jamie a rich girl who thinks she is nice. I think it’s going to be a good series!

This show and Chris Lilley are actually Australian not British. It aired on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Company) last fall and BBC and HBO both picked it up. The humor is a lot less “in your face” than American TV but I thought it was awesome. Jonah and Mr G kick ass. Chris Lilley really knows how to pin down peoples egotistical nature and how the school system unfairly beats down rather than nourish students they deem “trouble makers”. I hope it is well received in the US.
