Really! It’s true, you just have to be in Sweden and a transsexual…
Starting January 1, transsexual men (females who undergo sex-change operations) will receive a free prosthetic penis from a plastic surgeon, The Local, quoting Ottar, a publication, said.
The article is actually about how the prosthetic penises are rumored as defective since they don’t stay hard, but I was just so taken back by the whole concept.
And as if this didn’t seem odd enough to me, upon further reading I discovered:
While transsexual women have long been eligible for free breast implants, hair removal operations and wigs, transsexual men receive no such cosmetic help.
Do you think something like this would ever happen in America?
