Mercedes SL500I’m not going to take credit for this idea as I came upon during my daily search of news worthy articles. I found this gem stashed in an otherwise ordinary article on cheap date ideas. The beauty of this date is that not only is it cheap and creative… but it also gives you an opportunity to role play with the girl, which always increases the chance of a bond growing between the two of you.

Here is a passage from the original article:

Cheap Date Ideas

Test-drive cars
Necessary resources: transportation, nice clothes and a luxury car dealership.

Women like different — they like outside of the box, creative thinking. This date will not only test her propensity for adventure, but will have her thinking about you for the next week. Pick her up and explain the situation.

Explicitly state: We are going to test drive the nicest car in town and for this to work, I need you to play the role of my wife.

Initially, this may sound alarming and unorthodox; however, I guarantee she has never heard that pick-up line before. Immediately drive to the closest luxury dealership before she has time to second guess.

Remember, spontaneity is key, and if all goes planned, the two of you will be driving down Main Street in a BMW 7 Series or a Mercedes SL500 and she won’t be able to take her eyes off you.

Note: The role play is absolutely necessary, and the dealership will see right through a high school theater performance. It’s imperative that both participants act pretentiously rich, creating a facade of money and wealth. This will streamline the process and have you in a car sooner than you can say, “How much was the bill for dinner?”

I have actually done this, but it wasn’t for something crazy like a 7-series. It was a 5-series, but it was still just as fun and there wasn’t much pressure from either of us to be what were weren’t.

It’s so much fun! I would love to do the 7-series or SL gig.

That’s an interesting idea, but wouldn’t you think most dealers would be able to “smell out” the folks that are trying to BS their way into a free ride in a 100K car?

    Has anyone here tried this?

It’s a fun idea (though, hate to burst your bubble - I’ve dated guys who owned those cars and driving around with them didn’t make me like them any more). Just be smart. This is not a good first date idea. I would never get into a car with a guy I didn’t know on a first date. It’s strictly meet in neutral territory - leave separately. And when a guy suggests otherwise (and pushes the idea) he gives me the creeps.

This is something that I have had on my radar for a while and had in my “First Date” section in the PlentyOfFish profile for a while. Never done it, but I think that it would be totally money. Marraige/divorce role-play is a huge part of my attraction game and it’s bound to accelerate things.
