Ahh, the weekend. A time to get together with your hip friends in the backyard, grill up a few hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, crack open a few beers, and organize a video that will garner about 70,000 hits in a few days time, making it officially go viral.

The thing is, is the video real?

The folks over at Sports by Brooks are, understandably, very skeptical. Their list of possible deceptions with the video include: (1) She’s very confident about making the shot, as is everyone else, despite the difficulty involved; (2) You don’t see the struck bottle until after it goes into the bushes, where a fake bottle could previously have been planted; (3) She’s a hot girl, and hot girls are never good at sports.

That last one left aside for the moment, there’s also the fact that the video already has advertising sold on it despite being up for less than a week now. If it was a truly viral venture, there’s a good chance they’d be a little late on the draw getting the most compensation for their web hits. My guess: It’s a Bud Light commercial. Just look at the crowd in the video: It’s a multi-cultural hipster hodge-podge with nary a fat or unattractive person in sight. Real group gatherings always have at least one fatty.

Who knows? Until Snopes.com gets on the case, all that’s definite is that there’s an attractive girl in this video. And, frankly, that’s good enough for us.
