According to legend that monkeys were first used to collect tea nearly ten centuries ago. After seeing his master attempt to retrieve the leaves from a wild tea tree, the monkey climbed up the cliff, collected the tea growing there and brought it back down. Nowadays the practice of monkeys picking tea has all but died out, except in one small remote village where they still continue this remarkable tradition.
