Must-Read: The Ultimate in Scotch Recipes

I love scotch! Scotchy scotch scotch-scotch. Here it goes down. Down into my belly.

Scotch!

Scotch is great. It took us quite a few years in order for our palate to become sophisticated enough for it; our terrible attempts at drinking in college left mostly to choking it down and then quickly getting hammered to the point where we couldn’t successfully aim our vomit into the toilet area. But now here we are, adults, and we want to drink some goddamn scotch during this glorious and chilly holiday season.

But here’s the thing: Sometimes we don’t just want to drink straight Scotch. Sometimes we want to mix it up a little and just have scotch as PART of the entire beverage. Which is why today, for your scotch-drinking pleasure, we’re showcasing this article over at AskMen.com that includes some amazing scotch-infused recipes. For example, The Godfather:

1 1/2 oz Scotch
3/4 oz amaretto almond liqueur

Introduce Scotland to Italy by adding some amaretto to the whiskey. This is an easy, two-ingredient drink that both new and seasoned Scotch drinkers will enjoy. The liqueur takes the hard bite off the whiskey without totally diluting its unique flavor. This is a great winter and holiday cocktail. Enjoy it after a hard day of skiing or after dinner while sitting around the fire. Plus, it’s a whole lot manlier than eggnog.

Works for us! Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to run out to the store and get some amaretto almond liqueur. And if, um, we’re not back for awhile, if you can just kind of keep on eye on the place and lock it up for us? That’d be great. Thanks in advance!
