“Mad Men” Back for a Fifth Season in March, Says Actor Jon Hamm

Fear not, Don Draper fans. ?Mad Men? is set to return to TV for season five this March, according to the man behind America?s favorite fake ad exec, Jon Hamm.

Welcome back, Joanie

Like his character on the hit AMC series, Hamm did a bit of marketing on Friday, announcing the yet-to-be confirmed air date for the show on the Doug Loves Movies podcastrun by comedian Doug Benson.

For fans of the Emmy-winning series, this news is a long time coming. The last episode of ?Mad Men? aired in October 2010 and the series has been delayed due to a contract dispute between the series? creator Matthew Weiner and AMC.? The negotiations are over and Weiner has signed on for two more seasons.

In case you?ve lived under a rock and/or haven?t paid a cable bill since July 2007,? the show, set at an ad agency during? the 1960s, has been incredibly successful (Can you say fifteen Emmys and four Golden Globes?) In fact, ?Mad Men? is the first cable series to win the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, something it proceeded to do the following three years.

Hamm certainly can?t complain. Not only was his character, Don Draper, named the most influential man in the world by Ask Men in 2009, but he also announced on the podcast that he will be directing the season?s first episode.
