On the one hand, his impact on the comic industry is incontrovertible… he was (partly) responsible for many great creations, and his approach to characterisation became the standard for mainstream superhero comics for good reason.

On the other hand, his influence on the cutthroat business practices of the comic industry is likewise incontrovertible…
