Mary Elizabeth Winstead in white

We saw the previews, we read the synopses, we read the Facebook posts of the excitement. And yet, for whatever reason, we can’t see to get excited for the upcoming history/horror mash-up “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.” That kind of over-the-top CGI in vampire hunting movies (say, “Van Helsing”) just leaves us cold. We like our horror stories real and scary, not cartoony and cheesy. Which isn’t to say that we’re not going to see it. Just, if we do, it’s not going to be because of the story or the director or the writer. It’s going to be because the amazing and gorgeous Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in it.
