James Bond is dead – sort of. The legendary British spy fakes his own demise in the upcoming “Skyfall,” as seen in the film’s full official trailer.
Sony Pictures released the official trailer for “Skyfall,” the twenty-third film in the James Bond series, on Tuesday. The film is due to premiere in the UK on October 26 and in North America sometime in November.
Like “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace,” “Skyfall” stars Daniel Craig as the famous MI6 agent. Also returning is Judi Dench as M, the head of MI6. Javier Bardem plays the film’s main villain Raoul Silva. Bardem is probably best known for his role as Anton Chigurh in “No Country for Old Men.”
The two minute-plus trailer offers up plenty of visuals, including one of Bond supposedly getting shot and falling to his death.
Another scene in the trailer shows Silva questioning a captive Bond:
“Everybody needs a hobby,” says Bond.
“So what’s yours?” asks Silva
Along with the “death” and interrogation scenes, the trailer features plenty of Bond mainstays: gunplay, gadgets, epic stunts, and seriously hot women.
November’s still a ways away, so you’ve got plenty of time to watch the previous 22 Bond films. If that’s not enough 007 to hold you over, here’s a clip of Bond hanging out with the Queen of England.
