If you’ve been watching the TV and reading the ol’ Internets, then you’re well aware that the Olympics are once again taking over our sporting life. And while it’s always fun to root for the good U.S. of A. in whatever event they’re participating in, there’s something a bit less emotionally involved in the games instead of, say, football or baseball. It certainly has a lot to do with the amount of information one has about the people you’re rooting on. If you’re following an MLB team, then chances are you know who the players are and have followed them a bit in the newspapers. But if you’re flipping through and see a swimming event, unless it’s Michael Phelps who is racing, then you probably don’t know the person you’re rooting, and thusly you don’t really care TOO too much about it.

Which is why today, we’re going to introduce you to a few of the athletes at this year’s Olympics. But seeing as we don’t really care about watching guys wearing tight speedos, it’s going to be a bit focused on the information we’re providing. By which we mean, we’re going to whisk you away to Maxim in order to introduce you to the sexiest women of the 2012 Olympics. This is important information, people.

Among our favorite:

Olympics!

Who is this, you wonder? Maxim has the answer for ya:

Leryn Franco, Paraguay / Javelin
Leryn became a Web sensation four years ago despite not medaling. Gee, we wonder why?

Head on over to the above link to check out the rest, and then get your rooting interests in order for these Olympics!
