Must-Read: Eating Well

Don't be dim

We all want to have good bodies. This is a fact. While it may not be enough of a want to actually get on out there and do it — anyone who is overweight knows this, it’s not that people WANT to be fat as much as they just don’t want that over the pleasure they experience from eating — it is a want that is pretty universal. The problem with that line of thinking, though, is that a lot of people think that can happen from the outside-in, as in, by simply getting a membership over at the local gym and putting in the hours there. While that certainly helps, what’s even more important is working your body from the inside-out, which is to say, by eating super-healthy on top of doing the workouts.

So today we’re heading to AskMen.com where they go through the various ways that you have to be able to eat well. Among the tips that they go through is this doozy:

No. 4: The Law Of Reality

Actually, there are three parts to this law, and all three of them require a little tough love. The first part dictates that you might do everything right, but there?s still a good chance that you?re not going to have the aesthetic change you?re looking for in the period of time that you want it in. You need to be OK with the fact that your body doesn’t respond to nutrition the same way that a 19-year-old supermodel’s body will respond to it. The fact that you’re making good choices at every meal is the most important thing. Don’t get caught up in your ego’s view of what you think your food is supposed to do for your physique. Food is about the inside. It’s about protecting, healing and allowing the pancreas, the prostate, the liver, the kidneys and all the other internal organs to function better.

Vitally important stuff. Head on over to the above link to check out the rest.
