Brad Pitt Fights Zombies in ‘World War Z’ Trailer

You know undead-mania has reached an all-time high when Chanel-shilling, Brad-freaking Pitt is actually starring in a zombie movie. From the looks of the first official trailer?for the upcoming ?World War Z,? the walking dead aren?t going away anytime soon.

?World War Z? tells the story of Gerry Lane, a United Nations worker who travels the world in an attempt to stop a zombie pandemic from, well, ending the world. The movie is based on the 2006 book ?World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War? by Max Brooks.

Much like the undead in zombie flicks ?28 Days Later? and the 2004 ?Dawn of the Dead? remake, the zombies in ?World War Z? are the super-fast type — ?zombies on crack,? you might say. The trailer depicts massive swards of zombies wreaking havoc on various cities, thanks to some intense CGI.

?World War Z? is to be released on June 21, 2013 and is being directed b Marc Forster (?Finding Neverland,? ?Quantum of Solace.?) If the world isn?t overrun by sprinting undead by then, I just might see it. If I see 200 more zombie-themed bumper stickers before then, however, I might just wait until it comes out on DVD.
