Must-Read: Paleo Dishes

We’ve already stated our lack of love for the whole fad dieting thing that seems to always take over people’s lives for the first few months of the new year, as they try to get that perfect body they promised themselves when the ball dropped. But, that said, it would do you readers a disservice if we didn’t occasionally give you a little help to accomplish this goal of yours, no matter how we feel about it. And seeing as 2013 seems like the year that the Paleo Diet takes off and becomes a known fad, it only makes sense to help you meat-and-nut-eaters find ways to get all of those meats and nuts into your system.

So today we’re heading over to Men’s Fitness, where they have a list of 18 different recipes for you dinosaur type people to start eating. Our favorite among the bunch:

BREAKFAST: Avocado-Bacon Omelets

INGREDIENTS:
4 bacon slices
1 avocado
2 tbsp minced red onion
1 tbsp minced fresh cilantro
1 dash hot sauce
4 eggs

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cook bacon until crisp.
While bacon is cooking, whack your avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it up, but not too fine?a little texture is nice.
Add onion and cilantro to avocado. When the bacon is done, drain it and crumble or snip it in, too. Stir it all up.
Now make your omelets, one at a time. Use half the avocado mixture in each. Top with more hot sauce, if desired.
