Must-Read: What Kind of Jeans Are For You

You can keep your corduroys in your closet for the fancy nights out, and your Dockers will be sitting pretty when you need them for a formal (yet not TOO formal) function, but there’s one kind of pants that you have that will always be in style. And that’s jeans. Although, there are certain types of cuts and looks that jeans come in that, well, might not always be the best look at on.

So today, in order to help explain the various kinds of jeans and what your body type should be going for, we’re heading over to AskMen.com where they have a list of things that women think about your jean types. Among the highlights (or lowlights, as it were) that they check out:

Dad Jeans

In case you haven?t noticed, men’s jeans went on a diet. And although the ladies popped the pill well before we did, it?s safe to say that the days of boot cut and destroyed denim, at least for now, can be safely tucked away somewhere between MySpace and the Tom Cruise meltdown of 2005. Sure, we?re still recovering from the emasculating aftermath of skinny jeans a couple of years ago. But, generally speaking, women were right on this one: slim is in. Turns out, they have thoughts on other men’s jean genres, too, and some of the reviews aren?t as pretty.

These are the kind of jeans your dad probably owns. The legs are wide enough to store a few power tools or a couple of six-packs, the color is an indecisive shade of light blue, and the seat is so slouchy you?d swear there?s a diaper underneath. Barack Obama has proven to be a staunch supporter of dad-like denim, but the vote of the people has been a resounding nay. And by people, we mean women.

Head on over to the link above and check out the other varieties of jeans that are around, and what people will think of your style. And then never be made fun of again for your jeans!
