4 Ways to Get Better in Bed
You are finally sure that that hot girl you’ve been chasing is ready to sleep with you. You have been so focused on seducing her that you haven’t even thought about what you are going to do once you get her out of her clothes. Then, suddenly, the nerves hit: you are going to have to perform, and you aren’t at all confident about your prowess in bed. Or perhaps you just got out of a long relationship, and you are finally over it and ready to go out and flirt again. What if you meet someone and she wants to go back to your place? It’s been so long since you’ve been with a new partner, and you have serious doubts about your abilities in bed.
This kind of lack of confidence could come from something bad that happened in the past. Maybe you couldn’t get it up once before because you were nervous or had too many drinks. Maybe you got overly stimulated and finished way before she did. Or maybe you just didn’t have the stamina to please her and she was obviously disappointed. Whatever happened to you, you definitely don’t want it to happen again. The worst part of it is this: the more nervous you are about performing, the more likely you won’t be able to perform.
There is always Viagra. The little blue pill might seem like the only option because your erection insecurity came up at the 11th hour, and you figure it’s too late to do anything else.
But hold on for a second before you make that embarrassing call to your doctor to ask for a prescription. I am going to tell you about four simple things that you can do right now to help you perform better in bed. Yes, everyone has advice about what to eat and what exercises to do to ensure yourself of a rock hard erection. But, not everyone is able to tell you WHY their advice is going to work. So now I am going to share four easy things that you can do right now to not only increase your ability to perform in bed, but also increase your confidence in that ability.
1. Do the male version of Kegel exercises
You’ve heard women talk about Kegel exercises. Well, a variation of this exercise can help men increase the blood flow to their penis, making it easier to get and maintain an erection. It’s pretty easy to find the muscle that you need to exercise. When you are urinating, and you stop “midstream,” you will feel a muscle, at the bottom of your pelvis behind your testicles, contract. For the exercise, contract that muscle and hold it for a five count, then release. Do this for three sets of ten. A lot of guys will notice that the day after doing this exercise, they will wake up with “morning wood.” That’s a sign you are doing it right. The results are noticeable pretty quickly, so even if you only have 24 or 48 hours before the bug night, this is worth doing. 2. Eat Brazil nuts
Brazil nuts are one of two foods that I am going to tell you about that can really increase your ability to perform in bed. These large nuts actually have science to back up their libido-enhancing claims. When eaten raw, Brazil nuts have a large amount of selenium. Selenium is a potent antioxidant that directly affects hormone production and semen levels. Eating only five or six Brazil nuts can give you a spike of selenium that will increase your hormone production. The highest amount of selenium is found in raw (unroasted) nuts. These come in both fresh and frozen varieties. Selenium capsules are also an option, but your body is able to absorb the nutrients from food better than from a pill, so Brazil nuts are the better choice if you can get your hands on them.
3. Swallow some oysters (or a zinc supplement)
Not everyone knows about Brazil nuts, but everyone has heard about oysters being the Viagra of the sea. This is one of the rare foods that actually lives up to its hype. Oysters have large amounts of zinc. Zinc is a mineral that is necessary for semen production, so it directly affects your sex drive (even more than selenium does). You don’t have to slurp down a dozen slimy shellfish in front of the girl you are about to get naked with. Your body needs time to absorb the zinc, so if you wait until a couple hours before you are going to get it on, it’s too late. A half-dozen lunchtime oysters are a better option. Also, zinc supplements come in a variety of forms, and powders or chewable tablets are better absorbed by your body than pills. But be careful, if you take too much of a zinc supplement, you will feel nauseous or maybe actually throw up.
4. Stay hydrated
One of the easiest things to do is something that almost no one does: drink enough water. Everyone is aware about staying hydrated during exercise, but most people don’t get enough water in day to day life. Getting enough water can help keep your blood flow regular and can make it easier for your body to absorb the vitamins and minerals that you need to perform your best in bed. So how much do you need? the best recommendation I can give you is to drink half your body weight in ounces every day of any nonalcoholic, non-caffeinated, non-sugar beverage. Drink it throughout the day, so that you are not running to the bathroom every 20 minutes. More importantly, if you have a couple of cocktails to loosen up, follow up each one with a glass of water. One of the most common causes of temporary erectile disfunction is alcohol, so you want to make sure you are getting it out of your system before it’s time to perform.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, this problem is as much about confidence as it is about an actual physical problem. These four things will not only help you perform better, but they will give you confidence because you will physically FEEL like you can perform. This means that you can relax and actually enjoy the sex instead of being nervous about it.
