There?s nothing much worse than waking up in the morning feeling groggy and being unable to shake it off. For me, constantly hitting the snooze button is my biggest weakness ? I mean ? how much difference can five minutes more sleep make?!

However that doesn?t stop me, and many others, from doing this regularly. Wouldn?t it just be great if we could just wake up fully refreshed and ready to go every morning? Well, over at Huffington Post, they seem to have found the solution ? meditating. Here?s a short extract from the article which speaks from a personal experience:

Meditation

Meditation takes on many, many forms. It can be deep breathing for a few minutes, singing or listening to soothing music. All in all it is a great tool to ease and calm the mind whatever form you choose to use. I can say personally that meditation was the most effective thing I did that finally got me a good night’s sleep. I did not know much about it but I was willing to try anything that did not involve medication.

After getting and listening to my first meditation CD I went straight to sleep and slept like a baby for the first time in two years. I felt like a new person when I woke up. I no longer felt groggy and I could focus and concentrate better at work.

Make sure to check out the post?and learn how you can also benefit from a quality night?s sleep. Remember, meditation can be very difficult at first, but there are a ton of health advantages to be gained if you can stick with it. Why not get your partner or a friend to start it with you this weekend and let us know how you get on!
