The other night we happened to check a sneak preview for the new movie “Frances Ha,” the latest quirky flick from director Noah Baumbach. And it was fine and dandy and well worth seeing. But the big takeaway from the movie was just how lovely of an actress star Greta Gerwig is. We never got a chance to see “Greenberg,” so this was our first shot at her, and man did she impress. She has the whole pixie dream girl thing down without being terribly annoying, which is certainly a unique attribute to have. In any case, it gives us a good excuse to put together the following gallery.

We’ll be honest with you up top here. Before she found her way into our Google Reader feed somehow, we never heard of Donna Feldman. We can’t really tell you anything about her now, either. She could be a nuclear physicist — although, probably not. She could be the dumbest person in the world. Maybe she’s trying to be an actress, or writer, or something like that. Who knows? All we know is that the world is a better place now for us because we have been alerted to Donna Feldman. Why are we so happy? Well, check out the following gallery and maybe you’ll see why:

After a track record that features “127 Hours,” “Trainspotting,” and “28 Days Later,” we will see any little bit of anything that Danny Boyle directs. He’s just that good, probably one of the top directors working today, but one that doesn’t seem to get too much respect because his visual style tends to change from one film to the next. But that’s the thing about his movie-making process: He’s like a chameleon. His latest, “Trance,” not only features him behind the director’s chair again, but also has one other huge selling point for us: Rosario Dawson. Why are we so excited that she’s in this movie? Well, look at her.

Did you get a chance to see the last James Bond movie? Not the most recent one with that guy from “No Country for Old Men” wearing a strange wig and talking in a creepy accent? Not that one, which was actually good? But that “Quantum of Solace” one, right after “Casino Royale” that made us, for ever so brief a moment, hope that they were going to stop making new Bond movies? That one. Well, what we thought of after seeing that movie was two things: 1. The next one better not suck this hard. 2. That Olga Kurylenko sure is attractive. And now she’s in a new movie, “Oblivion” with Tom Cruise, which gives us enough reason to see it. Why? Because, look at her.

We’ve gone on record multiple times over the years that we feel Christina Hendricks is, easily, the most attractive woman working today. And, honestly, it’s not even that close. She has been number one in our book for the past five years or so, and there’s no reason for her not to continue her dominance over every other actress working today. And with the new season of the epic Mad Men airing starting last night, well, it gives us and you a chance to relive exactly what makes her so special. And it’s this.

To, you know, like a dinner party, or maybe some kind of movie viewing thing or something. Something classy. Because, my goodness, she certainly seems to class things up whenever she’s in a movie. Which is why we are going to give “The Host” a bit of a chance. At first, we were hesitant about it in general, and were just going to go ahead and just let it slide through the multiplexes without paying the 15 or so dollars to see it. But once we found out Kruger was in it, well, then we started going through our closet for our classiest of outfits to wear on opening night. Because she’s classy, you see?

Halle Berry is a great lady, and has been for a long time. So long, in fact, that she doesn’t get as much publicity as she should. She still ranks as one of the top ladies currently out there in the looks department, and because she’s been off the radar for so long we kind of forget she’s around. Which is why this new film, “The Call,” is so exciting. Not because it looks like a good movie. It looks like crap, frankly. But it will put Halle Berry back in the public eye, and that can certainly only be a good thing. Why? This gallery will explain why.

Will we buy a ticket to the new movie “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone”? Well, it has Steve Carell in it, which is certainly a positive. And it has Jim Carrey in a nearly pure-comedic role, something that he’s been avoiding for the past too-many years because he felt he was a “serious” actor. That’s something positive. And, of course, it has magic. Which is awesome. So odds were that we were going to buy a ticket anyway — if not opening weekend, then at least opening month — but then we discovered the movie has a secret waiting for those who would see it: Olivia Wilde is in it! And, man, Olivia Wilde is… here she is!

For some stupid unknown reason, a whole lot of people have a problem with Anne Hathaway. Is it because she’s won so many awards? Is it because she can pretty much do no wrong? That there’s really no controversy around her? That she seems like an actually affable person with a good head on her shoulders? That she kind of has it all, and we hate her for it? Whatever the reasons, they are dumb. Anne Hathaway is incredible, and her beauty is certainly a part of her whole package. A beauty which we, right now, are going to do our best to put on display for you.

Perhaps you already know her. Perhaps Denise Milani has been on your radar since she first appeared on the scene back in 2004. Perhaps this is old news, you’re sick of her, you’ve moved on. But seeing as we have yet to hear about her — that the only way we were introduced to her was by casually clicking around the Internet and kind of accidentally stumbling onto her — then we have to assume that some of you have the same kind of knowledge. So, for you folks who’ve never heard of her, here she is: The lovely, the talented (we assume), the gorgeous Denise Milani.
