Kate Winslet's Plan Comes to Fruition

In the wake of Kate Winslet finally taking home Oscar gold for her role in The Reader as an illiterate Hitler or something I try to stay away from Holocaust movies because, for some weird reason, they're always depressing it's only fitting to congratulate the buxom actress on her win. Especially since, as we'll see in the following clip, this wasn't an award given to someone based on their performance being head-and-shoulders above the rest. It was given to her because she finally cracked the Oscar Code!

The clip is actually from the hilarious Ricky Gervais series Extras. Winslet was the super special guest star in the 3rd episode of the series which aired back in 2005 after she was coming off her latest Oscar loss, this time while portraying Jim Carrey's slowly erased love interest in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
And sure, while you can't really take the above scene seriously, as the saying goes, there's a bit of truth in every joke. That Winslet joked about attempting to win an Oscar by acting in a shitty Holocaust movie, and then actually winning an Oscar while acting in an (arguably) [ shitty Holocaust movie well, it's always nice when a plan comes together.

In any case, we salute you Kate Winslet. And, like Oprah, we also salute your breasts.
