Lil Wayne to Release Prison Diaries

There?s a big Lil Wayne release set to drop in November and this one doesn?t feature vocals by Drake. ?Gone Till November,? a collection of the New Orleans rapper?s prison diaries is due to hit shelves November 28.

Lil' Wayne, author

Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, is publishing the rapper?s prison memoir, according to a recent article for The Hollywood Reporter. The book is a firsthand documentation of an eight month prison stint on Rikers Island the rapper served upon being convicted of criminal possession of a weapon.

Ben Greenberg, executive editor at Grand Central Publishing said the rapper?s journals are ?revealing.?

The rapper has already done some ?revealing? via music. ?I Am Not a Human Being? released while he was in prison in September 2010, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and went on to take the number one spot. ?Tha Carter IV,? released in August 2011 sold 964,000 in the US during its first week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter?s Philiana Ng, ?The journals detail his thoughts and feelings, the people he met, his plans, his family, his children, his past and his future.? With five Grammy nominations this year, it?s clear success is in Lil Wayne?s future. We?ll find out the rapper?s deepest, darkest secrets just in time for Christmas.
