The Truth About Spot Fat Reduction
This is a training topic that’s practically been beaten to death; any good trainer will tell you point blank that you can’t burn the fat off of your abs by just doing crunches, or by just doing leg raises – but the fact of the matter is that these days good trainers are getting harder and harder to come by.
People in seek of solutions to their fitness problems don’t seek out the hardworking, educated and experienced trainers that are actually capable of answering their questions, they turn to the self professed internet "gurus” and to infomercials that they see on late night television. I guess most people have forgotten the old adage "don’t believe everything you see.”
The fact of the matter is that people end up fooling themselves into believing that "five minute abs” will give them a washboard stomach because they don’t really want to imagine all of the work that really goes into it. Equipment manufacturers and self professed fitness gurus prey on these individuals and promise quick results "exactly where you need them” in order to get a bit of money in their pockets.
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is – there is absolutely, positively no quick fix when it comes to getting the results that you want as far as fitness is concerned. The models who advertise these products and services on the internet and television are just that – models and you can rest assured that they are in the gym working hard on their physiques day in and day out.
If you are serious about getting a hard, defined body that turns heads on the beach, you can forget about darn near everything that you see advertised on television or on the internet that "guarantees” results. If you want the cold hard facts – the results that you can expect to achieve will entirely depend on #1) the amount of hard work that you are willing to put in at the gym; #2) your diligence and attentiveness to your diet and #3) your genetics.
The third item on that list you can’t do a whole hell of a lot about, but thankfully with close and careful attention to #1 and #2 some vary positive results can still be achieved.
If you really have intentions of achieving your dream body, there is a very simple formula that you can follow – but don’t be confused by the verbiage, very simple does not mean easy.
Most men don’t necessarily want to be the next Mr. Olympia – they just want to add some lean muscle and functional strength and burn away the love handles and belly flab. If this sounds similar to the results that you want to achieve – here is a good plan to get you started…
