Must-Read: Meditate To Become Better At Sex
Meditation has been on our radar for awhile now, as a stress reliever, a creative exercise, and just a general all-around good thing to do. We’ve tried it a few times, but always seem to lapse into passing out before we can reap the full benefits of the meditation practice. But we may need to give it another try, now that it’s been proven to help your sex life!
Men’s Health has a little post all about the various benefits that can come with regular meditation. But beyond the normal stuff, the big take-away message for us is the following:
Another bonus: It can improve your sex life. A recent Indian study found improvements in desire, intercourse satisfaction, performance, confidence, erection, and ejaculatory control after 12 weeks of daily 1-hour yoga sessions, followed by meditative-like breathing exercises. “Yoga and meditation are almost inseparable at times and if you’re less tense and stressed, you’ll have better erections,” explains Vikas Dhikav, Ph.D., lead author of the study. “There’s reason to believe meditation alone can improve your sex life, but we’re studying this further.”
So, then. Anyone here use meditation in their regular rotation of exercises? And does it help?
