Must-Read: Get Prepped for a Triathlon Quickly
Running! It sucks! But sometimes, especially as you get older and begin to become a bit more sedentary in your life, it is extremely necessary. And actually, it’s pretty easy to get back in shape. After about 6 months off, I started running again last week on a daily basis. At first, I couldn’t get through the normal 2.5 mile run without stopping about 5 times. But then, by the end of the week, I was jogging the whole thing like before, completely back in shape. All it took was a week!
Now, training for an actual triathlon is a bit more intense — a lot more intense — but that doesn’t mean it has to take months and months of work. In fact, according to this guidelines established by Men’s Journal, all it takes is about 8 weeks to get in tiptop shape for your first triathlon. Here’s the guide.
