Must-Read: Cardio Workouts
Now that the sun is out there in full force, and the heat is bearing down on you tremendously, it would be easy to just sit inside with the A/C pumping and just eat a bunch of fast food, down a bunch of beer, and wait until it’s a bit cooler out to partake in the exercise. But that is not the way of the Truly Great Man, gentlemen! Instead, we must head out no matter the weather — postal worker-style — and make sure we are in tip-top shape for when a sport calls, or just to keep our body in tip-top shape. And one of the most important workouts to your body? It’s not weights like some men figure, mostly because it gives them the visual bulk that everyone wants for ego-trip reasons. Instead, it’s cardio, getting your body in shape so you can actually pick a fight with these bulk-heads and then run away quickly while they stand there, winded and angry, because they forgot to do some cardio in their workout.
Which is why today we’re heading over to Men’s Health as they go through a trio of cardio workouts that really will have you getting your breath on. The one that we’re excited about giving a try, and not just because of its Egyptian-esque and somewhat mysterious name? The following:
Do as many jumping jacks as you can in 10 seconds. Rest for an equal amount of time. Next, do as many jumping jacks as you can in 20 seconds, and rest 20 seconds. Then do 30 seconds of jumping jacks followed by 30 seconds of rest. Now work your way back down the pyramid (30, 20, 10). Repeat three times. This will change the way you think about jumping jacks forever.
