Must-Read: What Sandals to Wear
Summer is here, which means that it’s time to ditch those old actual fully-formed shoes from around your feet and air them out for the masses with some sandals! But, hold on a second there, buster. Just because you can wear sandals, doesn’t mean you HAVE to do it. Or, more accurate, that if you are going to wear them, then you better make sure you’re wearing the right version of sandals. Because there are some of them that simply just shouldn’t be worn by fashionable men about town, and if you’re caught in them, well, you can go ahead and forget about asking that girl out for a date to the beach.
So today we’re heading over to AskMen.com where they have a whole bunch to say about what sandals to wear, when to where they, and what women will think about them when you do. Among their suggestions is this necessary information:
These classic kicks are characterized by two straps about an inch in width that wrap over the top of the foot, or a single strap with a loop for the big toe. In biblical times, the sandal was handmade with thin pieces of leather. In modern times, the sandal is clunky and often produced in plastic with an embossed faux-weave pattern. It’s nothing short of a sin made worse only by the Eastern European tourists who tend to wear them with socks. Get caught in a pair, and it will take more than a prayer for the ladies to grant you redemption.
So head on over to the link above to check out the rest of the suggestions, and then get to airing those feets of your out this summer in the right way.
