Must-Read: Take Care of Your Skin
Think about the first thing that people see when you meet them. Sure, hair is important, and your face, and to a certain extent so is your body. But that’s where you would mostly stop, and that’s exactly where you’re wrong. See, there’s another hugely important part of your body that a lot of us guys neglect, and that’s the skin. Think about it: More than any other part of your body, it’s the thing that people tend to notice the most. Now, women are raised by learning how to exfoliate and moisturize and all sorts of things… but guys are kind of let to their own devices, and therefore don’t really know much about skin care. But all that could change with just a few dieting changes. See, there’s a bunch of foods out there that can help assist your skin without really having to worry about using all of those lotions and nonsense.
And so today we’re heading on over to Men’s Fitness where they have a list of foods that are good not only for you, but for your skin. This is vital news that you need to know about. Among their recommendations:
Toss a half-cup of these peppers into your next stir-fry or salad and you’ll score nearly half of the vitamin C you need in a day. Like other antioxidants, the nutrient protects against skin-damaging free radicals. The body also uses vitamin C to produce collagen, the protein that gives skin its firmness. Don’t like peppers? Opt for other C-rich foods, like papayas, strawberries, kiwi, and kale.
So next time you make some Mexican food for the night, make sure to pick up a red pepper and chop some up to put inside. It’s for your skin, for goodness sakes. And that’s important.
