That if you just don’t stray away from these 8, you’ll be able to live a long and healthy life. You’d certainly take that advice, right? Well, that’s the general concept with this piece, but in the other direction. Because there’s a group of foods out there that are so terrible for you, so terrible for your body, that if you just pay attention to avoid them, you will actually do pretty good in the health department.

Most chips are deep fried with trans fats that can increase cholesterol levels and increase the risk of coronary heart disease. Trans fats are made by adding hydrogen to vegetable oil through a process called hydrogenation, which makes the oil less likely to spoil. Using trans fats in the manufacturing of foods helps foods stay fresh longer, have a longer shelf life and have a less greasy feel.
