How To Turn Your Hobby Into A Business
Turning your hobby into a business can be quite difficult especially if you have no clue how to start out. Bella at 14 years old wanted a car so instead of her parents buying one for her they told her the money she made from babysitting they would match dollar for dollar to start her own business. Bella realized she liked making jewelry with her mom so she started having jewelry making parties and within four years her hobby turned into a multi-million dollar business.
Now 18, Weems has evolved, just as has her business has. Her mother points out the communication skills and confidence Bella has gained as a result of her company. When asked what she’s learned, Bella says, “I’ve learned to surround yourself with people who inspire you and want to lift you up, because you tend to act like your friends,” she says. “Surround yourself with positive influences. Go after your dreams, no matter how old you are. Believe in yourself.”
As some experts say you are your five closest friends. This is why in life and in business your surround yourself with people who support you and who are achieving things rather than sitting on the couch all day. By understanding her business and having a genuine interest in her company Bella and her mom now even franchise to other teenagers for $149 for a kit. Most kids at 17 are waiting tables or bagging groceries.
