Pittsburgh’s Girl Talk is Greg Gillis, a monster mash-up machine with a HUGE record collection. This is a guy whose livelihood lives and dies by the sample. His latest album, Night Ripper, has been universally praised for the stunningly seamless snippets of songs he steals from… sorry, “borrows” from.

This guy doesn’t play favorites, he samples everyone: Boston, The Breeders, Busta Rhymes, Black Crows, Smashing Pumpkins, Ratatat, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Pixies, Weezer… the list goes on and on (and on). There isn’t a category of pop this dude doesn’t flirt with.
