This Year’s Costume Wars Have Already Been Won

Listen: No doubt whatever costume you have planned for Halloween is going to be oh-so-clever. What?s that, a costume of Bernie Madoff behind bars? Or something about the Balloon Boy? Sure, those are both topical, but they?re also extremely boring! And, more importantly, everyone else in the world is going to be dressed at them.

Now this one, on the other hand, is amazing and topical:

The image comes via Deadspin and is, obviously enough, Red Sox baseball great Ted Williams after his head was cryogenically frozen as his dead body waits for science to come up with a cure for cancer (or whatever it was that he had). Both topical and original!

So, there you have it kids. Try topping that one.
