I’m going to pass along an opener that I just read about in Seraf’s latest field report in our forum section.
I was actually at a mall tonight (with my girl unfortunately) and could really see how an opener like this would work pretty well on a slow weekday night. I wouldn’t try this opener on a busy night, but its worth a shot if the store is dead and the sales girls look bored.
Vince Kelvin’s “greeter” opener
This is Seraf’s use of the opener in a trendy women’s clothing store in the mall. I’ve quoted part of his field report here to give you the gist of the opener, but if you read the entire transaction in the forum you’ll have a better grasp of it.,
Walking in the store I waited for her to say it……
HB8: “Hello”
Game On
Seraf: Wow…..seriously? That was ALMOST the best greeting I’ve had all day!
HB8: *Suddenly bursts out in a laughter of flattery.*
Seraf: That was such an amazing greeting I’m almost inclined to do it again….
HB8: Gives another flattering laugh, this time more genuine.
Seraf: …..You know what? I will do it again.
HB8: Laughs even more
I go outside and stop in the middle of the walk way and look around as if I’m biding my time. I deliberate stay in view of her so she could see me. I could hear her laughing even more.Most importantly, I can tell her day was being made. This was the most interesting thing happening to her all day.
I walk back in.
I repeated my first entrance into the store.
Confident… dominant alpha body language…. looking at everything in the store but her….owning the place before taking 8 steps in……
I waited for her to say it……
HB8: “Hello”
Seraf: Wow! What an amazing greeting!
HB8: Laughs even more.
Seraf later repeats the opener on the way out with a goodbye version. .

now that’s a good post. question, can you guys review my conversation that I had with an HB8 over the phone and tell me what you guys think about it (Can be Bobby, Mike, FredEx,..whoever). what did I do wrong, how should I improve, etc…
me: congratulated her on something she did
HB8: aww..thank you
me:oh boy…listen babe, don’t get all goo goo ga ga on me, it’s unattractive (said jokingly)
HB8: (laughing) you’re too much
me: don’t pretend to complain, you like me like this
HB8: (giggling) you’re flirting in unbearable…
me: oh…i’m sorry…you’re busy? man..stop trying to flirt with me and focus on your work! trying to turn me on..what’s wrong with you?! (said jokingly)
HB8:AWW…caught me.i’m guilty
it basically went on like this with me turning it up a notch before i had to go to work. what do ya think? I appreciate all the help.
