A totally electric dirt bike.  This for for the bad ass who wants to be green.

I know what I’m asking for Christmas this year!

Here is what they say about it:

The Zero X electric motorcycle is a full sized high performance machine. Built from the ground up using the ultimate electric motorcycle technology and boasting 50 ft-lbs of torque, this stealthy motorcycle will send you racing up hills, flying over jumps, and splashing through streams. Best part is, you can do it all without disturbing nature or your neighbors.

After years of designing electric motorcycles we’re always looking to ‘one up’ ourselves and it shows in the latest modifications we’ve made to the 2009 Zero X electric motorcycle. It’s faster, stronger, and more durable in the most demanding terrain. We’ve upgraded elements of the drivetrain, frame, suspension and more. Inside and out it’s a better motorcycle. We know that’s great… but the part that really excites us is how much more fun you’ll have getting to the places you couldn’t go before.

I like the ’stealth mode’ aspect. Although ultimately I’m going to miss how a two stroke engine sounds and the smell of burning race gas.

Wonder what the power curve is like on this…pretty linear I’d assume. Probably still no engine braking…LOL

Is this equivalent to an 80, 125 or what? Wonder if you can transplant the powerplant into a Honda, Yamaha or Suzuki rolling chassis.

cool, a dirtbike for the green brigade. - although where does the electric come from?
the plug? - which in turn goes to a nuclear power station -
when we get hydrogen pit bikes, that will be cool.
