October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To raise awareness, background-checking website Instant Checkmate created this infographic to illustrate the types of abuse women on Tinder have been exposed to:

In addition to the cyber attacks, “nearly 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men in the United States have suffered severe physical violence by an intimate partner,” according to a proclamation by Barack Obama, released by the office of the press secretary. “Though we have made great progress in bringing awareness to and providing protections against domestic violence, much work remains to be done.”
