Must-Read: What To Wear While Hiking

Fall is the best. There is nothing better than fall. We believe that fully. But one of the things that we tend to shy away from when it comes to fall weather is being outside for large stretches of time. Oh sure, we’ll head on out to a bonfire, or maybe walk from the car to the house and back again, but generally when you start being able to see your breath, we head for the indoors. But maybe we have it wrong. Maybe we really just need to actually start buying the right outfit in order to make hiking outdoors possible.

Which is why today we’re heading on over to Esquire where they have a list of essential clothes you need if you want to be a legitimate hiker this fall. Among the pieces of clothing that they consider a must-buy if you want to actually feel like a hiker:

Sierra Designs

Hiking isn?t camping. Hiking may lead to camping and the other way around, but they are two different things and a casual stroll through the deeps woods can illustrate that in a dynamic way. As the temperature drops, a hike without the proper gear can have ruinous results. The time may come where you?ll have to start a fire and break out the sleeping bags. We suggest the Sierra Designs Mobile Mummy 800-4, with its heavy duty down filling, jacket-like hood and zipper less armports, it will fit like a glove and ensure you see the next morning?s sunrise.
