Came across this trailer for Mystery’s VH1 show the Pickup Artist. I’m not sure how I feel about the community being exposed to the mainstream media. I’m sure plenty of females will be watching this show.

I think this will really fuck up the guys out there who depend on the routines that have been staples of the commuinity for so long. Routines like “the jealuous girlfriend,” “who lies more?” “The Montel Williams show opener,” “the best friends test” all of these routines will either be useless or need to be modified.

What this really brings to light is the fact that the most important thing in a PUAs arsenal is not routines… but deep inner game. A great PUA improvises and is naturally good in dealing with women. He is good because he understands the dynamics involved. If you think you need a brush up check out Magic Bullets or Double your Dating for a refresher.

Anyway, heres the trailer for The Pickup Artist, it looks pretty good!

Wow I dont know what to say?

Im glad that if anyone is goner have some fame & fortune then it will be Mystery because he’s done soo much for the community. He has created soo many concepts like structured rountine’s & peacock theory. Actually talking about peacock theory, I have heard rumors that Mystery is contemplating co-writing the book “The Art Of Peacocking”? Sounds interesting if you ask me. Heres the link to that site

I think it’s great. Helps guys who have problems trying to talk to a women. Not all guys are slick at picking up women. It’s actually pretty hard to just go up to a stranger and talk your mouth away. Some people just get nervous and can’t be themselves. With his method I think it helps a person be more of himself.

    To this I say,
“When in doubt, lean out.” -Wilde

It’s probably a bad thing for the community, but it seems pretty good for for Mystery.

The show looks like a cheap rip-off or “Keys to the VIP” from Canada.

With the popularization of your community from other PUA gurus, there is definitely some commercial intentions on the part of your mentor.

But it doesn’t mean it’s bad for your community—it’s basically a call to get your game up.

So keep playing, because you got many around you who love the game

Mystery method is a good starting out platform or training wheels. Too much publicity will make it a dead end, caving in on itself. Already you get the occasional “Are you neging me?”. More books will be sold, but the training wheels will not work. Good for Mystery, bad for nerds.

It’s probably long overdue that the PUA community was recognized with a show like this. However, it is disappointing to see it nontheless. Some things are best left hidden.

    Listen
Some good points, how ’set-up’ reality tv can be.

    He also attacks Rion Williams

You are correct it’s a great starting point. But even as Mystery says in the show, it’s a lifestyle change.

Most of it is “inner game” and and body language anyway. Routines are just one part of the whole picture.

The show was very entertaining. The link by Bing was even more entertaining.

I think they are being trained to be boat cruise hosts. I think that Mystery is being portrayed as an Ahole.

The canned lines will become famous among “What’s a girl like you…” and other over publicized lines. ( That’s if people bother to watch the show. )

Its true that “inner game” is important. Definitely the guys in the show need a lot of that. But so does everyone on this planet.

As a witness of the growth of the net from nothing. I thought that the availability off all this information would make people super smart. It looks like MMORPG’s, flaming forums, and a flood of misinformation is having the opposite effect. Maybe the same applies to the community issue.

Mystery does not have a vision for the long run and in the process will destroy the community. These skills are like anti-bacterial medication, it only works up until the bacteria has not adapted. Similarly once enough women become immune to the techniques they will no longer be effective bringing an end to the entire community as we know it.

Dammm krazywhore… that sounds like some horror movie, although i hope thats not the case as i have only tried a pinch of wat mystery teaches and am in complete shock at the results

Don’t worry guys. The sky is not falling. Roll with the punches, canned material is good for opening doors, but can’t be all your working with. Concentrate on total game, body language and being REAL!!!
