Crazy Police Blotter: Wheelchair Gunman Stopped By Robot

Which begs the question: What the fuck is going on here? News from the Daily London:

Warren Taylor, who had reportedly entered the building pushing the chair while claiming to be carrying explosives, gave himself up and released three people he was holding.

The building, in a rural Virginia community, was surrounded by armed police, sparking a tense stand-off that lasted nine hours yesterday.

From there, it was only a matter of time before the cops went ahead and sent in the robot which, from the looks of it, is pointing a gun towards the man in the wheelchair. Now, the report doesn?t confirm this at all ? and I?m far too lazy to actually zoom into the photo ? but it doesn?t take an owl/human hybrid (because of this being?s supposed amazing eyesight) to see that the robot is probably holding a gun. Which means, of course, it?s only a matter of time before this becomes reality:
