Must-Read: Best Canned Beers

I remember my first REAL beer. No, not a can of beer like “Nati Light” or Budweiser or Bud Light. But an actual beer. You know, one of those beers that come in an actual bottle that you crack open, feel the cool of the glass in your hand, and guzzle it down. It was a Heineken. And, while there really is nothing special about the flavor in retrospect, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the green bottle.

Which is to say that long ago, once upon a time, beer that came in cans was second-class. It was for the trailer park folks, not for the high class gentlemen. But that mindset has changed over the years. Not, there’s plenty of great offerings in cans. You just have to know which ones to get. So today we’re heading to Men’s Health where they have a listing of the best canned beers that are out there for our delight. Among the best canned beers that are out there being recommended:

Pako’s Eye-P-A

Snake River Brewing Company, Jackson, WY
12 oz. cans, 6.8 percent ABV

Named after a dearly departed pet with eerily mismatched eyes (one black, one blue), ?Pako?s Eye-P-A? explodes with scents of grapefruit and pineapple. You?ll also smell the bitter pine that accompanies the golden-orange colored beer?s simcoe hops. But while the aromas are strong, ?Pako?s? is much lighter on the tongue, and not too sweet. ?Hands down one of the best canned IPAs I’ve had in a while?or ever,? says Phillips.

So head on over to the link to check out the other canned beers that are out there for your perusal, and then get to trying those canned beers in due haste, young men!
