Why Taking Her to Dinner Might Get You Some Action
Taking a girl on a dinner date can be romantic of course which might get her in the mood for some “dessert”, but research is also pointing to another reason why feeding your girl might get you laid. Turns out when girls have eaten and aren’t starving, they are more likely to respond to sexual stimuli. The study was done by scientists at the University of Drexel, using MRI imaging.
To pull of the study, the scientists researched a variety of women, some of whom had dieted in the past and some of whom hadn’t. They used the MRI imaging to look at the rewards centers in the ladies brains while they showed them photos of “romantic pictures”. The whole group of women was studied when they were both in a normally fed state and when they were fasting.
What the research showed was that whether or not the women had been dieters before the study began, they all showed greater brain action in the rewards centers when they had eaten in comparison to when they were very hungry. This is important to note, because when it comes to other sorts of stimuli such as drugs or money, people tend to show more sensitivity to them when they’re hungry. Sex however, seems to be on a playing field of its own.
The study author Alice Ely, PhD explained this effect in a release on the experiment.
“In this case, they were more responsive when fed. This data suggests that eating may prime or sensitize young women to rewards beyond food. It also supports a shared neurocircuitry for food and sex.”
Good to know. That means the next time you’re hoping to get some you might want to go for a meal date as opposed to just getting drinks. If you’re going out with a new girl, be sure to ask her if she has a favorite type of food or preferred genre for dinner. She might have particular taste or diet needs and instead of asking about any potential allergies or something it’s best just to ask if she has a preference. If she does, she will certainly let you know about it.
Try to choose a restaurant that has an atmosphere that you’re comfortable in. Some restaurants try to keep their clientele moving through quickly, and anything too sterile will tip you off about that. If you’re planning on staying to talk for a while you should avoid any restaurant that feels cold. That being said, sometimes the more festive varieties of restaurants are the cheaper ones, so find somewhere in between that shows that you’re making an invested effort but also want her to feel comfortable.
To stay up your game, be a gentleman without putting on a show. If she doesn’t like her meal offer to switch plates or grab the waiter so she order something else. If she offers to split the bill at the end of the night turn her down, especially if you initiated the date in the first place. Make sure she’s happy, and she’ll be more likely to keep the night going.
